Our lounge also includes intimate bar seating, providing a perfect view of our custom cruvinet system. The Grateful Palate has designed an extensive wine by the glass menu featuring over 30 selections offered by half and full glass.We foster an unpretentious environment where the novice wine appreciator can learn about wine textures, taste, aromas and color. Our Sommeliers onsite cater to all types of wine lovers, including the wine enthusiasts with a voracious appetite.

The Grateful Palate Sommelier
Head Sommelier: George T. Johnson III George T. Johnson II began his career learning all of the ins and outs of the restaurant industry. Early on, he found a passion in mixology, landing a position at a local establishment as a bartender and proving himself invaluable to the customers, vendors and owners. It was there where he learned about wine and how to appreciate its artful complexity. Over the next decade, he spent his time educating himself about the wine industry, wine tastings and perfecting pairings to become a refined connoisseur.
George's wine philosophy is to be open to anything. Under the guidance of other local Sommeliers, he acquired an affinity for wines that led him to The Grateful Palate. Within a minimal amount of time, he continued to study and quickly moved up the ranks to head bartender. After years of refining his wine education, he passed the Sommelier exam and within a few short months was proudly promoted to Head Sommelier at The Grateful Palate.
Wine ClubWith all the success, our restaurant and wine bar has achieved, it's no wonder The Grateful Palate receives several requests about creating an official wine club. Our guests love the chilled vibe our wine bar evokes and boast how they never want to leave. With our guest's desires in mind, The Grateful Palate plans to expand its operation to include a wine club where guests may attend private member wine dinners, wine tastings, Sommelier classes, plus the opportunity to participate in the wine of the month club. With the news of our upcoming wine club, guests have already started submitting their names for membership.
